Steps to getting started using the Honey Maker:

Harrison Kinsley

Getting Started:

  1. Contact Harrison@seaofbtc.com to ask any questions you might have, and ask for confirmation from HSKinsley@gmail.com as well.
  2. Supply me with 2 sets of API keys and their matching secrets. These are required for trading to be done, and, unless you deliberately choose it, and the exchange allows it, you cannot withdrawal with these.
  3. Pay the 1% load fee to Coinbase.com/Harrison
  4. Sign the contract located here: The Contract. This can be signed digitally.
  5. Fund your account.
  6. "Balance" your account. If you do not, I will. By balance, I mean make sure you have some USD and some BTC to make trade offers.
  7. That's it. For more specific instructions per exchange, see below. From here, you can track your performance here: http://seaofbtc.com/harrisonkinsley/honeymaker/, using the client number that I assign you.

Setting up your account and API (choose your respective exchange):

  1. Sign up for an account if you do not already have one.
  2. Setting up 2-factor authentication (2FA) is highly recommended. To do that, head to the top gear icon with your account name on it, click on that, then choose account security:Responsive image
  3. Fund your account, and make sure the funds are in your "exchange" wallet. If you have placed them into some other wallet, moving them is instantaneous. Choose the "manage wallets" icon on the right-hand bar to do this.
  4. Set up the API. To do this, you choose the Api Access button near the bottom of the right-hand bar:Responsive image
  5. Within the API setup page, enter your 2FA in the OTP field, and click on generate API key.
  6. Sea of BTC will need the API key and Secret to interact with your account.
  1. Sign up for an account if you do not already have one.
  2. Setting up 2-factor authentication (2FA) is highly recommended. To do that, head to the top right and look for your account name, click on that, then choose security:Responsive image
  3. Set up the API. To do this, under the same security tab as for above, choose API access:Responsive image
  4. Within the API setup page, choose the + New API key: Responsive image
  5. Now, you can choose to white-list an IP address. This means only certain IP addresses can actually access your API, even with the key and secret. This is highly recommended for you to use. If you would like to white-list the Sea of BTC server IP, just ask for the IP address. The IP address of your trading server will differ from the SeaofBTC.com IP.
  6. Next, you can leave the withdrawal address filter blank, you will not be allowing withdrawals to take place.
  7. If you implemented 2FA, you will need to fill in a 2FA code before key generation, but we'll do that last after choosing options, otherwise the code might change and you will need to re-enter it.
  8. Finally, here are the required boxes to check. I highly recommend leaving the others un-checked. If you'd like some of these options for your own uses, please generate a separate API key. Responsive image
  9. Now, fill in your 2FA verification code, and click on "Generate key."
  10. Note the Key and the Secret down somewhere. You will not be able to revisit the secret after some time, as it will just be marked as hidden.
  11. Once a key is created, it is disabled by default and you will need to activate it.Responsive image
  12. Sea of BTC will need the API key, your account number (this is what you log in with, and what is found on your main profile page) and API Secret to interact with your account.
  1. Sign up for an account if you do not already have one.
  2. Setting up 2-factor authentication (2FA) is highly recommended. To do that, head to the left "profile" icon under your account name, click on that, then choose security:Responsive image
  3. Set up the API. To do this, you choose the API keys button near the bottom of the left-hand bar:Responsive image
  4. Within the API setup page, enter the name of the API key you want to create, you can name it whatever you like. Responsive image
  5. From there, you will get the Key and Secret. Note down the secret, as it will soon be blocked out. If you forget and lose the information, you will need to create another.
  6. You will need to make sure both the "info" and "trade" boxes are checked, then choose save:Responsive image
  7. Sea of BTC will need the API key and Secret to interact with your account.
